Default Privet

I have a very patchy privet hedge which i've cut back to encourage growth.
Unfortunately there are some fairly severe gaps which will need to be
planted I think.

Can anyone advise A) if it's possible to take cuttings to plant in the gaps
and how/when I should go about this or B) a supplier who can sell me some
plugs/small shrubs?

Thanks in advance
