unexplained tree death
(well, shrub I suppose)
Hi, I've recently found that all the hazels on the property are dying and I wonder if anyone else has observed a similar thing? It seems to happen very slowly, dying back from the tips with the higher leaves not opening or being stunted. I heard about something --virus, fungus?-- that was attacking beech trees country-wide and wondered if this was a similar invasion. Or just me. It's rather distressing watching a shrub die without having a clue why, or what to do. I have cut them back to green wood and fed them --anything else to do? Brian Mitchell |
