Default flymo lawnmower gl4

Anyone got a petrol flymo gl4 and can tell me how the under fan comes off. I
have removed the blade, bolt and spacers and thought the fan should just
pull off. Is it keyed somehow??The mower has been stored for a longtime and
it made be corroded but some hefty taps have no results.Help??

TIA Andy

Warm gently with blowtorch and tap gently until released.
It's on a taper

Thanks for that ---very awkward to tap anywhere beneficial and I have been
warming it to the extent that now the plastic is suffering.! Still I shall
persevere now I know its a taper. Thanks

If the plastic is distorting then it's stuck fast.

They can be a bit of a bugger, and unfortunately leverage usually breaks the
fan.
