Introducing myself
Hello all.
Having just subscribed to the newsgroup I thought I would introduce myself. I live in a suburb of Sheffield, on the eastern slopes of the Pennines at about 650 feet. I have a small to medium-sized garden and grow mainly flowers and shrubs. Much of the garden is in partial shade. This year I am experimenting with an Earthbox, and have just ordered a greenhouse. So far I have managed with just a home-made coldframe. Expect questions on greenhouse gardening in the near future! Keith |

It's quite funny to see a programme that's been show in a place you know. Occasionally, I see familiar faces in the background as extras and a friend of mine wrote one of the episodes, so it has good memories! -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.co.uk (remove weeds from address) 'We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.' |

Its roof is now used as a terrace on which we have meals - when the weather allows :-) But we choose not to have newspapers. The recent furore over tv programmes is why - we don't trust any news media. Why should we pay for rubbish? Not even this :-) Mary whose worked in the press and understands why and how it's done. |

We were in an Anderson when a bomb totalled a house behind us about 50' away. We had all sorts of crap on top the shelter, including a double bed and a shed load of bricks and the home-made wooden door on our shelter looked like a dartboard with shrapnel embedded all over it. In Bristol we were in the shelter every night from 5.30 pm until all-clear at about 6.30 am. -- ®óñ© © ²°¹°-°³ |
