Cape Gooseberry
Last year I bought a couple plants from Hill House Nurseries and the
resulting berries were lovely and tart right into December. This year I grew more from seed and they are a different flavour altogether, a sickly sweet taste. Are there many different types or are they dramatically altered by weather conditions I wonder? |

Serves you right. ;-)) I don't know the answer, Robert but I'll ask Ray or Matthew. Do you mean seed you bought or seed you took from the plants you got from us? -- Sacha http://www.hillhousenursery.co.uk South Devon (remove weeds from address) 'We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.' |

No I bought seed with our association order Oh well then.... ;;--)) See you next week? ;-) Anyway, I did ask R&M and they said that they can vary quite a bit and yes, you can grow on from your own fruits. How about giving that a try with the ones you got from us if you liked them? OK thanks for that |
