Default Citrus hacking

My kaffir lime has suffered from the weather and neglect - not
actually overwatering, but most other problems. I have got off
my fanny and resolved them, and it is now reshooting, but it
is rather bare and leggy.

I should like to cut it back hard, and get it to bush out more.
My question is whether now is a good time to do it (it has a
fair number of 1" shoots, so is in active growth).

Citrus experts, please help!

Regards,
Nick Maclaren.
