Default Goldcrest

2/3 years ago our neighbour planted several Goldcrest really close to the
wall of our old house, I noticed today that they are getting quite large and
wonder about the root spread of these trees. I have done a quick search but
not found any reference to the roots, anyone know please ?

Kate,

You do not say how near to the house it is planted. Cupressus
macrocarpa 'Goldcrest', as you can see from this site
http://www.gardensandplants.com/uk/p...?plant_id=1002 has a
maximum width of 9.8 feet and the roots will most likely correspond with
its width. That being the case its roots will spread about 5' out from
its trunk and apparently they are quite sensitive.

Regards,
Emrys Davies.
