Default A good year for strawberries?

My wild alpine strawberries have started cropping this week, and so far I am picking about a pound every two days - in other words, it looks like being a really good year for them. Are garden strawberries doing as well? What experience are other people having?

I should add that I'm in Yorkshire, and while we have been having dry weather, we're not yet at the stage of needing to water crops in the ground.
