Default Grey stuff on turf

Having laid all the cut price turf, there are some small areas where the
grass was covered by a grey something or other.
Given the general colour, presumably a fungus?
The small patches are now looking sorry for themselves, possibly dying.

Should I leave them to see if they perk up, or cut them out now and replace
them with bits from the two spare(ish) rolls not yet laid?

Cheers

Dave R
