Wild Flower Walk in Cyprus
 

Hello. We are organising a day trip to hunt for the wild flowers of Cyprus in a couple of weeks. This will be led by Professor James Fitzmaurice of the University of Sheffield and the author and newspaper gardening writer Patricia Jordan. If you are in Cyprus on 16 March you would be very welcome to join us.

You have the childrens prices wrong

Children (age 1-17) ¤17.58

Infants (age 0-10) free

I would love the walk and plants walk but would never join a five-
hour botanical walk in any group that includes small children; they will
soon be tired and bored stiff and a whining PITA to unrelated adults who
are there for the flowers.

I think it's very unlikely very young children would join the group, but the booking engine defines children in a restricted way as anyone under 18. I don't think any reasonable person could imagine the type of "child" who is say 15, 16 or 17 and who likes wildlife enough to go on a day trip like this, is likely to whine.

I think that is implied in the price isn't it. Unless you have some very low cost flights to Cyprus from Holland.

Then it should be limited to "No children under X years",
Instead of giving a price range for children from age 1 up, which
implies they will be accepted on the trip by the organisers.

I should think any keen-gardener parent on holiday with teenagers in

Which in turn makes me wonder how old you have to be qualified as an OAP!

Also if (as this is posted on a UK site) this fall foul of the age
discrimination legislation as people over the age of 99 seem to be
excluded, or at least not classed as adults.

Unless, of course, you have to prove you are 100+ to get the OAP rate.

All in all, a very unprofessional bit of SPAM.

I, for one, will not be booking.

which is very fair warning that nothing else is included/provided.
