Some sort of little flow powered generator I assume...

For 9.99 it has to be a piece of junk that will malfunction after a very
short period of time.

Neodymium magnet on an impeller in the water flow and a coil around it
to generate the voltage. Temperature sensor to choose LED colour.

Amazing that they can make it so cheaply.
I expect it lasts for guarantee period plus one day.

You give Lidl £9.99 and in return they give you a shower head with LED

Us too Martin, I took back a coffee Gaggia type machine that I was not

Aldi in Leiden is rubbish too. We avoid it.

We'd kill for an Aldi or Lidl in Jersey :)

You could use it to determine when the shower was running at the right
temperature, sometimes just waving a hand in it can give a false idea
of the temperature. Of course it depends on how well graduated the
colour changes are.
