The local manager of my store is not an American, therefore I expect them to have a brain. The local manager is also the one that organises the aisles. The head office in America does not tell them how to organise their products. They just own Asda, if there was an instruction coming from above, it would be from Leeds, the Asda head office. In America, it's called Wal-Mart.

With the rest of the fruit, as they contains seeds, and they're not in the ground, they're hanging from a small plant. Although there is some peculiarity about the ovary position which means it's technically different.

I'm pretty sure I heard that one store was going to start putting stuff
alongside complementary (is that the word?) stuff. So strawberries would
be immediately next to the cream.

The only thing you can be sure of is it won't be in the same place the next time. Half the time even the staff can't remember where it's been put. I wonder how much staff time-money they spend moving things up and down the store?

such as Aldi or Lidl?

I use Morrisons, Aldi, and Asda. Asda happens to be the only local one with a proper bakery. Mostly the rest is from Morrisons and Aldi dependant on price and quality.

So screws in B&Q should be on every single aisle, because you could use them for all sorts. What a stupid way of deciding where to put something. When I want a tomato, I look at the signs above the aisles, and look for the category it belongs in.

I worked with a Dutch guy who sprinkled sugar on tomatoes before eating them as
a dessert. The rest of his packed lunch was weird too. Even stranger was that he
brought a packed lunch and a thermos of coffee to work everyday, when we had a
very good restaurant quality food canteen, where meals were sold for the cost of
the materials

I had an uncle who sprinkled brown sugar on bacon, lettuce and tomato
sandwiches. He said it was normal behaviour in his home town.
