- About the same size and shape as a ladybird - Likes same plants as ladybirds - It's back appears slightly ridged - More oval than a LB - Some are grey with orange markings, others the reverse - Markings are thin streaks across the body - look a bit like tiny louvres - Do not fly or crawl away if disturbed #2 - About 5mm by 2 - Bright green - Sits on broad bean leaves - Long folded back legs - Jumps when disturbed - Plants have some 3mm round holes in the leaves Thanks! Bug ID?
The first one is almost certainly ladybird pupae - as they don't move.
You will find that sooner or later they are an ampty shell where the adult ladybird has finally hatched. The second one sounds like a bush cricket assuming you mean cm rather than mm. Hope this helps, Helen |

P.S
The second one- If it IS mm I would suggest a froghopper? Is there cuckoo spit on your plants? |
