Proper typing and grammar show you have a better computer than everyone else, education, stature, and class are all relative. Are you going to say that because someone has no typing skills his opinoin is irrelevant. Please don't be such a pompous ass! Steve R --- One piece, one button suit, timeless fashion. Cool, then maybe you'll leave the country. I wouldn't mind deporting a few socialists like yourself, I don't think the United States was founded on the priniciples you debate so passionately for. But several million people in Germany were. Regardless, I'll withdraw my argument, I don't even remember the original point of it all. I think I wsa trying to make a point that WW2 was started in Europe, but nonetheless, I'll admit it's unfair to blame WW2 on all of Europe. Certainly Germany and its citizens take the blame for falling into line with Hitler's hatred, but then again, probably some of the post-World War 1 agreements and tough conditions on Germany helped to harbor a hatred and paranoia within Germany towards everyone and everything not German. I'm not saying all Germans are bad people, although they should have never followed a leader like Hitler. Then again, how much did they know, how much did the economic crisis in Germany cause it, etc. On Mon, 21 Jul 2003 00:42:34 +0000 (UTC), "Essjay001" wrote: Dustin wrote: Last time I checked, Germany was in Europe. I dunno, what happened to it? It was an exaggeration, I don't honestly think the US government should deport people with socialist views. However, I think they should consider what they want, and I would hope they would admit that their beliefs and philosophies contradict everything on which America was founded. ANd I would hope they would want to move to another country that is more representative of their viewpoints instead of changing 225 years of history in the US. Life liberty an the pursuit of happiness IIRC, surely thats a socialist viewpoint as well. Surely the whole point of the "American way" is that anyone whatever their beliefs, religion, politics can be happy there. Or is that as long as redneck bigots say it OK. ANd I would hope they would want to move to another country that is more representative of their viewpoints Would you leave your home because you don't like the colour of the wallpaper? It is difficult to change a corrupt society from the outside, it is best done from within. instead of changing 225 years of history in the US. You can't change history. What you can change is the written word if it is wrong. Steve R --- One piece, one button suit, timeless fashion. All made by the same manufacturer, no designer label, everybody has one. |
