They smoke on duty, swear at the top of their voices in a lovely family area, have no respect for peoples gardens (one rolled the wheely bin over our neighbours front flower bed the other week) leer at women and wind my dogs up. We've complained to the council before, but they apparently don't care, along with the noise complains about the next door pub amongst other things. Charlie. |

I used to live on a fairly narrow road in Wargrave, the folks there simply restricted their parking to one side of the road. In places where the residents haven't show the sense to do this the local authority eventually end up painting double yellow lines down one side of the road. I don't think that parking cars on top of each other is a practical alternative. No, we're cutting the trees half way so that they still block out most of the noise. It's a nice pub, but recently the owner has started to leave his son in charge. Club 18-30 DJ's anyone? Like I say, if they don't do it in a reasonable manner, which includes allowing for wheelchair users, emergency services access - there was a fire station and old folks home on the road in Wargrave, then decisions are made by others, not the residents. There is no automatic right to park your car in front of you home - or even within walking distance. Michael Saunby |
