My Backyard Clematis
I have a miniscule backyard; my beloved clematis, Gloire de Lyon, is the
only plant in it and is our pride and joy. Every year, our beloved blooms begin to look as if they've had a fine dusting of icing powder. I suspect, as a non-gardener with one plant and Google, that it's got powdery mildew. Any suggestions? Gummo |

Gummo I suspect your plant is called Ville de Lyon and the mildew can either be ignored, or cured either by heavy watering in May June and July or sprayed with a fungicide suitable for curing mildew on roses ie sythane -- Charlie, gardening in Cornwall. http://www.roselandhouse.co.uk Holders of National Plant Collection of Clematis viticella (cvs) |
