shady climbers?

just erected a pergola in an area of the garden that sees early morning
light but that's all...want to plant climbers but what would do well in such
a spot that would also be good to look at?

Many will grow well but flower badly. Ivies are the best for deep
shade, but most seriously hardy climbers are OK in light shade.

Provided your not in a really cold place, Parthenocissus henryana is very
colourfull all season and especially good in shade. Lonicera periclymenum
and all its forms will also do well in semi shade.
