IIRC I completed my set of Marion Cran's 1930's gardening books and
found a couple more of a series of prewar garden doggerel-verse
called"Greenfingers"....hm..and a Jane Duncan novel. These were
long-out-of-print authors I'd found in jumble sales, taken a fancy to
and hunted down for their other books over years. Nowadays, computerised
searches have made such hunts terribly easy but that rather spoils the
pleasure; I still prefer doing my own search along dusty shelves and
piles in a back room.

Then there were the ones I came across by chance while looking for
something else....
