Default Diseased Grapevine?

Recently pruned sub-laterals off 6-yr old pot-grown grapevine. Every one has
a brown "core" running through centre of it. Is this to be expected, or sign
of something more sinister? Advice apreciated. Thanks

Doesn't sound good.

Has it been getting enough water? Grape vines need much more than you
might think.
