sunset!
Its all because of the eccentricity of the Earth's orbit. In the UK/Northern
hemisphere January 9th is the day when the sun starts to rise earlier in the morning. I think its people rather than their plants who are really suffering from light deprivation. David T. |

The message
from Alan Gould contains these words: Big Sol is still there - even if we cannot always see it. We had a beautifully sunny day today (Sat.) up till about 14.30 hrs. despite a totally different weather forecast for the area. However, here in Norfolk it's been warm, with a spattering of dampness falling out of the grey matter up there. -- Rusty Hinge http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/hi-fi/tqt.htm Dark thoughts about the Wumpus concerto played with piano, iron bar and two sledge hammers. I was trying to explain this thread to someone at work today. Now I can just send them the URL. In our house we wait hopefully for 21 Dec every year. Now we can know all is not lost way before that!
