Usually best to do it yourself, if you are fit enough. Wait until Spring & Summer. See which plants seem to thrive in
your area. Do they grow in shade or sunlight. Then choose those types you like best, or would best suit your garden
conditions. Then buy plants or grow from seed, and decide where they would look best in your garden. Also, unless you
are starting a new garden from scratch, in winter the garden might already contain many dormant plants that you do not
see until Summer - you may find you like these, saving you some time / money.
General opinion from previous posts on this ng is that much of the computer-based gradening software is not
particlarly helpful.
