Default Tumbler Tomatoes

For the first time this year, I am growing Tumbler Trailing Tomatoes in
hanging baskets. Apart from keeping them fed and well watered, is there
anything else I need to do with them, and how many tomato plants would you
recommend for a 14" (36cm) hanging basket? I've put in three to each basket.

Thank you,
Mike Crossland

We put two per 18" basket, but that's just from force of habit. Always get
really heavy crops.

I did this last year ... and I put three in each basket against
advice! You will get loads and loads and loads of tomatoes; I think I
would have been better off putting two in a basket. Remember to feed
regularly! It's a great idea, but it's hard to believe, when you
first do it, just how greedy those little plants are.

Thanks for replying. I hope you are right and I do get loads and loads of
tomatoes this year, all home grown too!
