Default broad beans

Bought my first ever grow bags today - see what you've all done to me!

Can I grow broad beans in them?

Got lettuce and toms all ready to start in them. Just need to find a
neighbour's trusted (paid) offspring to keep them watered when I go on
holiday in May.

Yes. Don't delay, because it is getting fairly late for them (though
I planted mine just a week back!) It might be worth soaking them and
starting them on damp kitchen roll in a shallow container covered with
cling film or a plastic bag. That is what I do, and plant them out
when they show roots.

Nick Maclaren.

You can but it's too late really and you'll end up with poor specimens with
lots of blackfly. Try something else this year I would

2 weeks is a bit swift to say, give them a little bit longer

I had a very successful crop of broad beans last year but this year's
beans I planted 2 weeks ago haven't started showing yet (also same
problem with peas). They're in a slightly different area of garden to
last year, any ideas why peas and beans haven't shown yet?
