So, my bed is in its second year (I planted crowns last April) and lots of

The info sheet supplied by Marshalls when we bought ours several years ago
said pull nothing the first year, pick twice only during the second year and
then freely during subsequent years.
That's the advice we followed and we have a couple of very healthy and
prolific beds,
