Asparagus - a weed?
"Gill Hall" wrote in message ... It`s VERY easy, just takes a couple of years to ge going. So, my bed is in its second year (I planted crowns last April) and lots of scrumptious stalks are coming up. But according to the books I've got to leave them alone for now. Can't I have even just a few nibbles yet? Gill The info sheet supplied by Marshalls when we bought ours several years ago said pull nothing the first year, pick twice only during the second year and then freely during subsequent years. That's the advice we followed and we have a couple of very healthy and prolific beds, |
