Curled leaves on oak
 
One of my younger oak trees has curled leaves, no other symptoms.

I was afraid it might - we're not far from where Surrey, Sussex, and
Kent meet... and we have lots of rhododendrons, which it might then
affect as well :(

As far as I know there are other symptoms, like a rash on the trunk.

Have you looked instide the curls? It could be aphids.
