Default Wimbledon Fortnight and lawn care

Hi,

given that the forecast for Wimbledon Fortnight is for the traditional
weather (i.e. rain, hail, strong gales and strawberries) is now the right
time to weed'n'feed the lawn to catch the weeds in their late growth spurt
before they settle down smugly for the summer surrounded by small patches of
dry grass?

I have held off from treatment because the weather (like last year) went
from torrential rain to drought over about 3 days and I was afraid of
burning the lawn with the fertilizer.

Cheers
Dave R
