Lupins
I need some help!
This year I have some Lupins in my garden, but they have hardly had chance to flower before the leaves are stripped and just the stalks are left, and looking pretty unsightly. I have notice these green thingys on the stalks, would it be these that are eating away or could it be ants as I have notice an ants nest nearby? Any help advice would be greatfully received. Thanks Perc |

Thanks Perc It must be the greenfly or slugs/snails; AFAIK ants don't eat Lupins. The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago: the greenfly infestation was intensive. I solved the problem by spraying with soap based insecticide; actually I also occasionally used diluted washing up liquid. No more slugs! Jo |
