Default Using Parasene in Heater/has helped

I got some parasene and it seems to have cured the problem. The only thing
now is the blue flame bit?
I brought this heater about 7 years ago second hand it has never burnt with
a blue flame. It looks the same as the new ones in the shops apart from the
fact that flue (i think thats what it is) is 'T' shaped. The name I can
barely read but it seems to be either Relex or telex.
