Spring onions in the autumn
Hi,
planted some WHite Lisbon to pull as spring onions, but I haven't used them all and the remainder are now small normal onions with some top growth still on. Should I pull them and eat them now, or are they likely to grow more if left over winter? Google says wait until they stop growing and the skin turns brown, then lift on a sunny day to dry. Not likely to happen now, is it :-) Just wondering if they would overwinter, then grow on like onion sets, or if they will just frost and rot. Cheers Dave R |
