Should be OK if left unpacked for 2 or 3 days in a cool place like an
unheated garage or shed but protect roots from severe frost, any longer -
heel them in 'til you're ready to plant them (OK for many weeks). This goes
for any bare rooted woody plants in the dormant season.
Heeling in? Just dig a trench, open the bundles place the roots in the
trench, cover the roots and firm with your feet.
