Default Salix Contorta

Hello all,

I've just put in a twisted willow by the name of salix contorta. I can't find any reference to the latin name and am afraid that it might be Tortuosa which can grow to 10 meters - too big for the city garden where its planted.

My questions.

1. Are contorta and tortuosa one and the same
2. If not, how big will contorta get
3. If so, can I prune tortuosa back to keep it in the 3-4 meter shrub range
4. If pruned, will the roots also remain limited.

Thanks

Burnham
