Default Tomato F1 Totem...

Hi,

First attempt at growing tomatoes and I have the subject variety.

They are now about 1.5ft high and fruit is starting to appear.

Do I need to:-

a) Stake these? How high do they grow?
b) remove any lower leaves? If so, which ones?

They are growing in growbags if that helps..

Thanks for any help you can give!

Thanks

Yes you do, with fully formed fruit they will be very heavy (you hope!).
They are indeterminate so in theory there is no limit to their height.

Can do, some growers remove the lower leaves to allow sunlight to the fruit.

Inside or out?

We grow all ours outside, but in the soil not growbags. The only problem you
get is Tomato Blight which normally hits towards the end of August. It comes
out of the sky with the rain so you can either protect the plants from rain
with a little makeshift shelter over the top made of bubblewrap, clear
sheeting, etc or spray with Bordeaux Mixture as a preventative.
We now grow "Ferline" which is Blight resistant.
