Re 4330: Don't think so... Found it by a river bank.

Re 4901: So it's a dahlia?

It's difficult to judge size from the photograph 4330. I am trying to think of what riverside plants have flowers like this. It could of course be a garden escape.

In both cases, some leaves would help.
