Default Bluebells

In article , lid
says...

It's not difficult to tell the difference, unless the hybrid leans much
more towards the native bluebell than the Spanish one.

I'm trying to eradicate hundreds of the things in the garden where we
moved in 2012.

I don't want to dishearten you but I've been trying to eradicate the
Spanish one for 12 years and here they are again, as thick and healthy
and covered in flowers as ever :-) In all that time they have never been
allowed to set seed. I want to get rid of them because they are
competing (and still spreading) in a snowdrop/hellebore/primrose/fern
bed.
As soon as the flowers begin to go over (before they set seed) I pull
out every flower and leaf above ground.. you'd think those bulbs would
have starved to death by now :-(
