I am looking for a hand-pump, like the one in the
Wikipedia-article “Hand Pump”, or just like the image they use to
explain its details:

So far, my research was futile. Imported pumps of all types-, so called
“american” pumps inclusive, -appear to be produced where everything is
produced these days, which is in itself not a problem. Only, the
mechanism appears to be simplified with plastic-pistons and ruber
check-valves which appear to be difficult or impossible to service.
The experts and vendors in our region avoid ordering from one last
french manufacturer of hand pumps, because their service and produce
gets them into difficulties with their own customers ...
Now, if there were hand pumps in Britain, and if I could possibly place
an order (not ever having been in hold of a credit card) with a british
manufacturer, I would be pleased to read your recommendations.
