I'm astonished to note that my Allium 'Summer Drummer' bulbs are already
growing away. They were planted a bit late in October and are in pots,
but I thought they'd come up late, not early .... certainly not this
early! Is anyone else seeing early summer bulbs coming up?
I'm concerned they won't flower at the right time, but there's not much
I can do about it.

Talking of strange happenings, Iwas tidying up mmy blackberries an found
on the end of a new growth (over 1m long) some ripe berries!

Do I cut this growth back or just cut off the berries?

Malcolm

You could leave them for the birds, but according to old superposition
after Michaelmas (29th September) the devil takes possession of all
blackberries left and they become poisonousness
"She killed off her last husband by giving him Devil berry Pie, and I
saw her yesterday out picking again"
But according to this item the date is later
