I think it is Love and Peace.

It's actually Desert Peace.

That's how it was labeled and it certainly matches photos of Desert
Peace as well.

Love and Peace *does* resemble it though.

Desert Peace, hahaha, The george bush the first Rose. Imagine my surprise

when
I saw this one in the jackson and p catalog before The Dust had even settled
over irag the first time. I think this was pretty much simultaneous with the
creation of World Peace but in any case you could get them as a package deal.
I don't doubt it's a pretty rose, I just can't support the Pick-A-Participle
Rocky VIII approach to hawking roses. The original Peace and Chicago Peace
demonstrate over the season every conceivable color any of the wannabe
sound-alike name ripoffs can do and neither of the *2 originals have any of

the
impurity issues their half-sisters have to tell their friends about.

To be honest, I didn't know that there was any tie in with Desert
Storm. To be honest, I didn't give the name a second thought. To be
honest, I just bought the darn thing a couple of years ago when I
first started buying roses - it looked pretty. To be honest, I
couldn't bother to get half as worked about about a rose, much less
its name, than you have here.

Ford would get worked if Chevy came up with the Desert Ford, there is
little difference in the two concepts. I'm aware also that the car companies
get promiscuous with their names and I don't like that either. The irk factor
rates right up there with Isuzu Rodeo or Hyundai Santa Fe. maybe Toyota
Tacoma.

i.e., Peace or its true clone Chicago Peace have never been improved upon,

To be honest, every Peace I've ever seen has been a boring large
somewhat floppy blossom. I would never bother with one.

you've been sadly deprived, dweil:

To be honest, I'd never ask more of any rose than either. I've seen it white,
I've seen it every shade of yellow with every shade of vivid red infused.
And believe it or not--and this is an extremely rare occurrence--I've before
been fairly overpowered by just the truest rose fragrance imaginable.
It *all depends on the conditions. And of course, how happy it is. I was
truly blessed to know this rose.

I've never seen Chicago Peace, mind you...

Another happy 10 or 12 foot giant with major girth. Always vivid colors.
Peace itself can do all the colors of Chicago Peace but Chicago Peace doesn't
do solid colors, it's pretty much that simple.

and all of these rose brothers should try getting another NAME!
The name Peace is taken and shouldn't be muddled or besmirched. Clones may
use the name, Hybrids may not. It is written.

Who cares? Really?

hmmmm. it's not like I said you were growing The Charles Manson Rose even if
it is the george bush the first Rose. humans have this way of connecting
karma and applying concepts to things like roses, and while most breeders
use either their imaginative processes or names which mean something to them
personally, J$P can be counted upon to immediately seize every opportunity
and be the first in line every time to cash in on the mass 1) grief and
2)patriotism currently in swing, and if they can combine these first two with
the proven name of a known superstar, then so much the better.
Names certainly do matter though and a lot of people *do care-- like I predict
half the people out there wouldn't even consider planting Barbra Streisand.
Does that thing normally have real dark canes or is the one I just planted
on its way to checking outa here?

Love and Peace, makes me think about cemeteries. Ain't Gonna Happen Peace.

We'll just change the name to Guy Pearce.

must needs google dat, but on the surface, yeah, that's better.

it's all about roses, dweil, and how we enjoy them. for me it's a word thing,
a name thing--=- they're infinitely fascinating and parta the way I've always
got my kicks.
so bully for me, eh? hahahaha
