This is not the most effective use of Roundup. Roundup is absorbed by
green tissue and transported to the roots which it kills. Hence, the
most efficient use is to cut the vine and wait for green leaves or new
shoots to come up. Then the roundup is applied to this green tissue.
This works much quicker.

If you use the paint on technique, you must use the concentrate and
paint it on the end going into the gound. Then later you must come back
and treat new shoots and any leaves that open up anyway.
