I have a recollection of seeing musical figurines (about the size of those
marching toy soldiers from England) in Austria. My only warning is that, as
I recall, they all looked like 19th century classical composers. I doubt
that's the end of the world for you, as I'm sure that doesn't disqualify
them (I'm sure the klezmer bands got dressed up for occasions) but
definitely NOT Tevye.

Rob (who often posts on the lamented Gallery) Kempinski's brother makes
really exquisite miniature military panoramas with miniature soldiers.
Perhaps you might explain your need to him and catch his interest. I am
sending a copy of this to Rob so that he will know what's up.
