I can't really think of any way it could affect a business other than in
the case of a cafe with outdoor seating where it might block the sun.
Otoh, the nuisance caused by having any business next door can be
considerable ... and it's all very well to say 'you shouldn't have
bought the house then' but sometimes the business doesn't come into
existence until after you've been living in the house for some years.

Or the vendors fail to tell you that the house next door has a taxi firm
that starts screaming around the yard from 11 p.m., and the people on
the other side have a fruit and veg business that starts work at 4 a.m.
