Sounds like the machine sold or used to be sold as Allen National. I've never seen or used one but if your main concern
is stuff like chains and belts don't worry too much, these are standard industrial parts not specific to mowers so you
will find suppliers in yellow pages under something like 'power transmission' Just get spare belts while the old ones
are in an identifiable condition.

Thanks for the reply Rod. It's a bit similar to the Allen, as in
basic, though a LOT bigger. I've given it a lot of thought and have
eventually decided upon an Allen National 68. Parts readily available
and simplicity in itself to work with. Nothing nasty to go wrong
(hopefully g)
