Default Fatsia Japonica looking very poorly

I've been growing a Fatsia Japonica for around three years in the same

spot,
and it had grown to about three feet tall and looked very healthy.

However,
over the last few months most of its leaves have gradually drooped or

fallen
off. It now only has two droopy leaves left on it. The rest is just bare
stems. Whole sections of stem just break off very easily if gently pulled.

Does anyone have any ideas what is wrong with it or how to treat it - if

it
isn't too late?
Thanks.

Is it in a sunny spot?
If so move it to a shady spot!
I have three fatsias, all in the shade, and they are doing fine!

I have one in a pot that did what your is doing. I moved it to a shady spot
and it recovered.
