I agree with what's been said so far, one thing I'm keeping in mind is poor
John's pond has yet to get a chance to mature, before he's changing things.
;o)
Maturity (of the pond) helps. Maturity takes time with few major changes.
Regarding BZT, when it was CSA I had a major algae bloom caused by steer
manure in some planting pots, I removed the pots, did water changes, and
did something Charles called double dosing, not using double CSA/BZT but
putting the dose into a 5 gallon bucket of pond water with a couple of
teaspoons of milk and aerating over night. I also added aeration to my
filter. Crystal clear water in less than a week after doing the milk thing.

John,
Then what should I use? What can I use with the BZT??? Thanks, Cathy
--welllll
if its turbidity ---time ref BV's clay problem
if is suspended phyloalgaesp shade
lee and I both have delt with that same weird dark green algae that pops
up in clumps from the bottom the only thing to do with it is just keep
neting it out it seems to me to be an early summer/temprature related
thing
the water does an inversion, the bottom layer of water rises to the top
and brings that stuff with it. last year it lasted 2-3 weeks for me
this year it only lasted three days
if its the bright lime green algae with air bubbles in it a garden rake
will get it out its and overgrowth of the good string algae
I have all kinds of plants in my pond but still cant get rid of the
phyloalgae I have a bushell of duck weed on order I hope that will
provide enough shade and competition combined with my present plants to
lighten the algae a bit
sorry I cant be more encouraging and i do hope this helps you
also chck K30's green water tips
