These might also be gerbera daisies. (Which come in a wide range of colors).
Gerbera daisy leaves are big and dark green (sort of like spinach leaves in
color except a little more crinkly) Gazania leaves are gray-green, skinnier,
with small skinny finger-like projections on their sides..

I was given a couple of flowers that I think are annuals, but I've never
