Help identify flower please
I was given a couple of flowers that I think are annuals, but I've never seen
them before. The leaves are funny shaped and I cannot describe them but the flowers are orange, daisy shaped and they close up at night and open in the daytime. Sorry this is so vague. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Sue in Mi. Zone 5 |

These might also be gerbera daisies. (Which come in a wide range of colors).
Gerbera daisy leaves are big and dark green (sort of like spinach leaves in color except a little more crinkly) Gazania leaves are gray-green, skinnier, with small skinny finger-like projections on their sides.. Sounds like it might be an orange osteospermum, or African daisy. Here are
some links: http://www.rbgkew.org.uk/spectrum/201.shtml http://plantsdatabase.com/showpicture/11610.html A picture would be better, though, for future postings. -- pelirojaroja "Marley1372" wrote in message ... Sounds like gazania. Toad |
