Training Peas???
I run 2"chicken wire between stakes set about 8' apart (just use a staple
gun to afix and pull tight). I ran 2' tall wire this year and my peas
overshot by about 4'~~! I think I'll try a dwarf variety next year (and
maybe a 4' fence) so I won't have the same problem. Although, I could easily
move the vines to harvest them.
I would get something up soon, and set it quite close to the peas if you
want them to climb. Wait too long, and you'll likely have a problem with
many of them not finding the fence.
Good luck,

Hello all!
I have a question about peas, and stringing them up....
If you do not string them up, will they grow slower? Mine are now
only 3-4 inches tall and am wondering when to start to train them on
some sort of growing vine web.
Thanks!
