Default Is it too late to plant potatoes?

I haven't got round to doing this yet and would still like to try.

Is it still possible? Would you recommend any particular varieties?

And the main question, where could I get them from?

I have seen Marshalls advertise potatoes for sowing now, that you can
pick in late Autumn/Winter, up to Christmas. The only trouble is that
I've had a lot of problems with Marshalls this year and would prefer
to use another supplier.

Any suggestion?

Should be ok, assuming you have sprouting seed pots which look healthy.

If you have no seed, I note there is a seed catalogue which advertises an 8
week harvest "new potatoes on Xmas day".
