And never say "Thank you" for a cutting. Heard that from a very nice and
generous lady. Hard not to say it to someone so nice.

Awwww...that's not really stealing. Cattails are weeds to most people.

We have a local belief and custom about plants here in Cajun Country.

*Stolen cuttings or seeds grow better than bought or donated ones.
*If someone likes a plant, the owner says (with tongue-in-cheek) "steal

a cutting when I'm not looking".

Yea, I know it sounds strange.
