Hi all,
would anyone out there know of any 'very' hardy roses for a coastal position
which recieves alot of wind and salt. I really love the David Austin
varieties.
Thanks heaps if anyone can help!!

I have tried a couple of times, with varieties a specialist nursey
recommended for those conditons, but no luck. I think the rugosa kinds
are supposed to be the hardiest. It would help to grow them behind a
windbreak. Another thing I read (which I didn't do) was to hose the salt
off the leaves every evening (which will probably lead to problems with
black spot).

Good luck,
