"VERY" cold is rather relative. I pur mine through a rather dry (never dried
out) and very cool 40-50 degree F winter. Check out the link for the
results. I understand they can tolerate mid 20's but I've never tried it.

I have a D. kingianum which was badly sunburnt a year and a half
